Operator's Guide: Prepare for Outlands
This is everything you need to know before you start playing.
Outlands is built around one core philosophy: risk creates value. Your base matters because it can be raided. Your guns matter because you can lose them. Your faction matters because you can't survive alone.
Read this before you jump in. It'll save you a lot of early mistakes.
Section 1: Spawn
Safe Zone — No PvP
Spawn is where everyone starts and where all the core services live. It's completely safe—no one can attack you here. Use it to gear up, trade, and prepare before heading out.
Gun Store
Entry-level weapons and ammo. The basics to get started.
Auction House
Player-to-player trading. This is where rare items change hands.
General Store
Sell gathered resources here for steady income.
Personal Vault
Protected storage that can't be raided. Keep your best stuff here.
Section 2: Open World
PvP Enabled — Build, Fight & Raid
This is the main gameplay area. An open-world survival map where you build bases, form factions, gather resources, and fight other players. PvP is enabled and death means you drop everything in your inventory.
What You'll Do Here
- Form or join a faction. You need allies. Solo play is possible but difficult.
- Build a base. Design it with defense in mind—hidden locations, choke points, secure vaults.
- Gather resources. Mining, farming, and looting generate the income you need.
- Raid enemy bases. Find them, breach them, take their loot. But remember—they can do the same to you.
Your base storage is at risk. Anything not in your Personal Vault can be taken if enemies break through.
Section 3: PvP City
High-Risk Combat Zone
PvP City is the endgame zone within Factions. This is where the best loot lives—and where the biggest fights happen. When you die here, you drop everything in your inventory. No exceptions.
What Happens in PvP City
- Supply Drops. Announced events with valuable loot. Everyone knows where and when—expect fights.
- Chest Spawns. Scattered across the map. Lower-tier guns and resources refresh periodically.
- Extraction Points. Fixed locations around the map edges. Click to teleport out with your loot.
- Full Loot PvP. Kill players and take their gear. Get killed and lose yours.
If you're not willing to lose it, don't bring it into PvP City. Use your Personal Vault in the Hub to protect valuable items.
Section 4: Weapons
20+ Custom Guns
Outlands features custom firearms across five categories. Each gun has unique stats, recoil patterns, and use cases.
Basic weapons are available at the Hub gun shop. The best guns come from PvP City supply drops, The Bunker, and trading with other players on the Auction House.
Section 5: Armor
6 Material Tiers
Armor provides bullet resistance. Better materials = more damage absorbed.
Section 6: The Economy
How Money Flows
Everything connects through the economy. Here's the loop:
Safe gameplay funds risky plays. Risky plays yield the best rewards.
Quick Reference
That's the Briefing
Now you know how the pieces fit together. The Hub keeps you safe and gives you access to trading and storage. The Open World is where you build bases, gather resources, and fight for territory. PvP City is where the highest stakes combat happens—bring your best gear and be ready to lose it.
Find your faction. Build your base. Watch your back.
